Anima Jam Project (Kaos Zone Team)A collaborative project in which my college classmates and I participated in the annual Anima Jam event. The challenge consisted of creating an animated short film from scratch based on the event's theme and delivering it within just 8 days.The event encourages artists and animators to work toward a common goal, fostering teamwork, problem-solving, and creative collaboration while producing portfolio-worthy work.To participate, I brought together a group of friends and formed the team Kaos Zone. Competing against nearly 500 participants and over 80 submitted animations, our team achieved an outstanding 4th place overall, demonstrating our ability to collaborate effectively under tight deadlines and deliver a high-quality production.During the project, I was responsible for:• Art Direction

Captain Chimpanze Benjamin Redbeard

Captain Chimpanzee Benjamin RedbeardBenjamin was once a crew member aboard an old ship that sank during a devastating attack by sea monsters and violent storms. He and his friend, Lula, were the only survivors. In the midst of the chaos, his captain ordered Benjamin to escape while he stayed behind to fight the creatures attacking the ship. Without hesitation, the young chimpanzee obeyed, saving both himself and his friend as everything he had ever known disappeared beneath the waves.Years later, Benjamin and Lula rebuilt their lives. Benjamin eventually became the captain of his own vessel, leading the most feared pirate crew in 18th-century Europe and earning the title of Captain Redbeard. During one of his voyages, his ship collided with the wreckage of a small lifeboat. Investigating the debris, he discovered a frightened and clumsy seagull adrift at sea.Although Benjamin initially considered leaving him behind, something about the young seagull made him hesitate. He later learned that the seagull had been attacked by the massive crew of Captain Gorilla, a ruthless pirate lord. After discovering that the seagull was the son of a legendary pirate and a longtime enemy of Captain Gorilla, the crew destroyed his boat and cast him into the ocean, hoping to end his bloodline forever.As time passed, Benjamin uncovered a shocking truth: the seagull's father was his former captain, the very captain who had sacrificed himself years ago to save Benjamin's life. Determined to honor his mentor's memory, Benjamin set sail on a quest to confront Captain Gorilla and his crew.Benjamin is known for his stern and imposing presence, inspiring both fear and respect wherever he goes. Those fortunate enough to sail beside him recognize his wisdom, courage, and unwavering sense of duty. A fierce and capable leader, Benjamin never backs down from a challenge and faces every obstacle with determination, discipline, and strength.

VEGANIZ ATTACK

ChiveLike the herb he is named after, Chive is highly adaptable and capable of thriving in almost any environment. However, this adaptability comes at a cost. Much like real chives, which spread quickly and compete with nearby plants for space and nutrients, Chive has a tendency to put his own interests first, often benefiting at the expense of others.Territorial, ambitious, and materialistic, Chive is always looking for ways to improve his situation. He dreams of a comfortable life filled with wealth, security, and success. While he presents himself as confident and capable, the truth is that he is physically weak and often afraid of danger. Rather than facing challenges head-on, he prefers to rely on cleverness, persuasion, and the support of those around him.Chive is an opportunist who constantly searches for the easiest path toward his goals, avoiding hard work whenever possible. Despite his selfish tendencies, he genuinely values the friends who stand by his side. Deep down, he knows that without them, he would struggle to survive. Their loyalty is something he treasures, even if he rarely admits it openly.Although his greed and ambition often get him into trouble, Chive's resourcefulness and adaptability make him an important member of the group, capable of finding opportunities where others see only obstacles.

Bell PepperBell Pepper is full of energy, enthusiasm, and heart. He brings color, excitement, and life wherever he goes, making him the emotional core of the group. While physically large and strong, he is incredibly compassionate and always willing to protect those who cannot defend themselves.His greatest strength is also his greatest weakness: his emotions. Bell Pepper is highly sensitive to the world around him, and his feelings often influence his decisions. His kindness can sometimes place him in dangerous situations, but he never hesitates to help someone in need.Although naturally friendly and gentle, Bell Pepper becomes fiercely protective when his friends are threatened. When pushed too far, his emotions can overwhelm him, transforming his caring nature into intense determination and rage.He chooses to follow Chive, seeing him as fragile and unpredictable. Out of loyalty and concern, Bell Pepper remains by his side, searching for a place where they can survive while continuing to help others.Color StatesBell Pepper's appearance changes color depending on his emotional state.GreenCalmness and Peace — A balanced, relaxed, and emotionally stable state.

Little Pea
Peas are usually a side dish, they help complete a great meal but rarely stand on their own. Just like that, Little Pea thrives when working alongside others rather than by himself.Friendly, kind, and warm-hearted, Little Pea is always eager to help those around him. Beneath his cheerful personality, however, lies a surprisingly chaotic and ruthless side. Fearless and relentless, he attacks the Veganiz without a second thought, making him a valuable survivor during the apocalypse.Despite his courage, Little Pea's greatest weakness is his size. Small and physically fragile, he struggles to run quickly or carry heavy objects, forcing him to rely heavily on his allies. Most of the time, he rides on Bell Pepper's shoulders, keeping watch over their surroundings and waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
